http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kevin-Gameiro-c20721 of Paris Saint-Germain and Lisandro Lopez of Olympique Lyon are attracting a lot of interest from cash-laden Spanish outfit, Malaga
Malaga CF enjoyed a terrific season in Spanish top flight, where they managed to finished 4th and qualified for next year’s Champions League for the first time in their history. Beating the likes of Atletico Madrid and Atletico Bilbao for a Champions
League place was a remarkable feat.
Backed by the Qatari investor, Abdullah bin Nasser bin Abdullah Al Ahmed Al Thani, Los Boquerones are looking to strengthen their squad in order to compete with the European elites. After the retirement of Dutch striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ruud-van-Nistelrooy-c31966, the Anchovies
are in great need of a world class striker.
Talking to the reporters, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manuel-c23383 Pellegrini, the coach of Malaga expressed his views about the ambitions of Los Boquerones.
Pellegrini stated: “There’s no doubt those two teams [Barcelona and Real Madrid] have moved very far ahead of everyone else, but the championship race used to be more open.
“However, all the other teams still dream about closing the gap again. Here in Malaga we’re starting a new project this year and it’d be great if we could be successful from here.
“The main aim of this project is to improve season by season and close the gap as much as possible within a reasonable time frame.”
The players who top Manuel Pellegrini’s wish list are Kevin Gameiro of Paris Saint-Germain and Lisandro Lopez of Olympique Lyon. Unlike Lisandro, who is the first choice striker for Les Gones, Gameiro has failed to establish himself as the first-choice centre
forward for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
With the likely arrivals of few new faces at Parc des Princes, exit of the French striker seems inevitable. Malaga are willing to meet the demands of Les Parisiens as the transfer of Kevin Gameiro seems more than just speculation.
Lisandro Lopez is in the form of his life at Lyon. The Argentine international has enjoyed a brilliant 2011/2012 season at Les Gones scoring 16 goals for seven-time French champions. It would be hard for Malaga to lure him away from OL. However, Les Gones
are in financial turmoil at the moment and a huge bid from cash-laden Los Boquerones would test their resolve to hold onto their star striker.
