The Paris Saint-Germain striker has warned his teammates of taking Les rouges et blancs lightly when the two sides meet at Parc des Princes this Saturday
The oil-money-fuelled club from Paris is set to take on the newly promoted Ligue 1 outfit on Saturday, and Kevin Gameiro is expecting a tough test from the visitors.
The Ligue 1 heavy spenders are in fine form at the moment and are currently unbeaten in the league with 16 points after 8 games. And the Ile giants are strong favourites to win against Hubert Fournier’ side with ease.
However, Paris Saint-Germain striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kevin-Gameiro-c20721 is not taking Reims lightly and is wary of the threat Les rouges et blancs pose.
While talking to reporters, the 25-year-old stated that Saturday’s game will be difficult and Les Parisiens need to be at their best in order to continue their winning streak.
With the match set to take place at Parc des Princes, Gameiro believes that they need to win the match in front of their supporters, and failure in not an option on Saturday.
"It will be a difficult game (against Reims on Saturday) because you never know what can happen in football. But we are playing at home and we hope to win this game and we will do everything we can to win it.”
The player said that football is a funny game and anything can happen on the pitch. PSG need to play their best football and they won’t make the mistake of taking Stade de Reims lightly.
"In football, it's never easy. Against a small team, you can drop points or lose games. We need to stay focused; we shouldn't take them lightly, and must try to score as soon as we can to ease the pressure."
Talking about Reims, Gameiro said that Hubert Fournier’s side has just returned to the top flight and they want to prove a point. Les rogues et blancs will do everything to get a positive result on Saturday, and Les Parisiens need to be very focused to avoid
any humiliation.
"They (Reims) have been promoted. They want to play good football and establish themselves in Ligue 1.”
