Gameiro did not inspire Carlo Ancelotti’s confidence in the second half of the campaign and the Italian tactician no more sees the 25-year-old as an integral part of his plans for next season.
Furthermore, with the cash-laden outfit set to bring in a plethora of stars this summer, Gameiro should do well to quickly negotiate a move to Valencia.
