Kevin Garnett's place in NBA history?

Question

I always hear people talk about how if Kobe won a championship, he'd be "G.O.A.T" or he'll crack the top 10 of all time greats. But what about Kevin Garnett?

He has an MVP, a Defensive Player of the Year award, he's averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assist for his career. He's the first player since Larry Bird to average 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assist for 5 consecutive seasons. He led the league in rebounds 4 consecutive seasons. Now he's an NBA champion.

He doesn't have a finals MVP, but to my knowledge, neither does Oscar Robertson, and he is almost unanimously considered top 10 all-time because of his regular seasons. He also only has been on one NBA championship team.

So with that said, where would you rank Kevin Garnett all time?

Well if stats is how you compare greats....Oscar Robertson averaged a triple double (I think as a Point guard)  If that's the standard of greatness than you know how many PG would not be considered great if that's how you measure who is great.  KG is up there as great, because he has the stats and now has the ring.

i only read your headline question but he will go down as one of the greatest, there were alot of questions about his heart throughout his career that he falls short when it matters most & those came up this year a lot during the playoffs & he deserved it cause there were times when it looked like that, but the celtics were a great example of a TEAM winning the championship, cause KG didnt carry them but they won as a team.

hes definetely top 10 all the talk about him not wanting the ball in the big moment is bulls*it he never even got a chance with the t-wolves because they sucked every year he was their its not a coincidence that the celtics won their 1st championship in 20 years the 1st year he was in boston
