Kevin Garnett wants to retire wearing the green of Boston Celtics; not that there was ever any doubt anyway....

After much speculation, Kevin Garnett eventually inked a new three year deal with the Boston Celtics over the summer and in his recent tour of Asia, the legendary power forward has made it very clear where he wants to end his career.
“I will retire as a Celtic for sure.” he said;
Garnett, after playing the early years of his career with the Minnesota Timberwolves, made his way to Boston and immediately won the NBA championship.
Even though his days in Minnesota were marked with individual honours and he played some of his best basketball there, Garnett was never able to win a championship and after years of waiting, KG decided enough is enough and moved
to the Bean City.
Garnett combined with the likes of Ray Allen and Paul Pierce – players with similar careers to his - and success was achieved in 2008 when they defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals. The Celtics made it to the NBA Finals
two seasons later and even though they lost to the Lakers that time around, Garnett had grown as one of the key member of the team. And if he lives up to his word, Boston will have his presence till the time he retires.
So what is next for the Celtics and Garnett?
Well, despite a depleted line up last season, they took the eventual champions, Miami Heat to a 7 game series in the Eastern Conference Finals and even though, they lost out on Allen in the summer, the Celtics do believe that they
still have another championship run left in them. General manager Danny Ainge considers Garnett as the key to their ambitions not only for a title but for the future as he helps rebuild the team.
They have made solid additions to their roster over the summer by bringing in the likes of Jason Terry and Courtney Lee, Jeff Green and Chris Wilcox have also been re-signed, and Jared Sullinger along with Fab Melo will also add
a lot of depth to the C’s roster, which will be mentored by KG.
