Kevin Garnett saves the game for the Celtics

Kevin Garnett magically netted a basket that saved the show for the Boston Celtics on Thursday night at the Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia. Keeping it close to the Boston side from the very beginning, the Philadelphia 76ers could not succeed in defeating
the Celtics as thanks to Garnett, his team recorded their ninth consecutive win.
Garnett jumped to bank an alley oop pass with just 1.4 seconds on the clock and froze the game at 102-101 for the Celtics. Thursday night turned out to be another big night for the Celtics while the Sixers could not do anything but shake their hands with
them on the way out.
The Sixers lost their second matchup in their last six games overall as the Celtics crashed Philadelphia’s five game home winning streak.
Box score
The Celtics grabbed 33 rebounds whereas the Sixers had 39. Ray Allen scored 23 points, Paul Pierce grabbed eight rebounds, Rondo gave 14 assists to the Celtics while Andre Iguodala dished out 11 for the Sixers.
Scoring
The lead changed 20 times as the arena crowd became more and more impatient to find out who will stand victorious by the end of it all.
The game, that lasted for a duration of 2 hours and 26 minutes, was tied eight times and none of the teams committed any technical fouls.
Glen Davis scored 16 points and although Garnett finished with 14, he stands champion tonight. Jodie Meeks was the leading scorer of the night for the Sixers. Louis Williams and Thaddeus Young arrived at 16 each and Elton Brand scored 13 points also grabbing
14 rebounds for the Sixers.
The game changed its pace and took heaps and turns throughout. Never did any of the teams lack the spirit to match their opponent and both the teams could not lead the other one for more than eight points.
The Celtics were trailing behind 80-72 in the third quarter with just 2:39 left on the clock. At that point Rondo dished out a 3 pointer for the Celtics with just 0.9 seconds on the clock. That initiated a 9-0 run that pulled an 81-80 lead for the Celtics
who finally clinched the victory in the last second of the match.
