Kevin Hoskins to take on Juan Suazo on Thursday night – Boxing News
Kevin Hoskins, from Moreno Valley, is scheduled to take on Juan Suazo, from Tucson, AZ, in a lightweight bout on Thursday night, March 9, at the Theatre Center in downtown Los Angeles.
Hoskins stands at 5 wins, 0 losses and 4 knockouts in his career, whereas Suazo stands with 8 wins, 6 losses, 3 ties and 5 knockouts in his career. It should be noted here that Hoskins is coming of a win against Angel Torres. The bout between Angel Torres
and Hoskins took place in January in which Hoskins was able to dominate the former and eventually stop him. On the other hand, Suazo lost his last bout to Juan Garcia last month. Not only this, Suazo even lost his second last fight to Karl Dargan in August
when the latter stopped him. However, his other two fights before his two losses include a tie in June against Gabriel Tolmajyan and a win over Ramon Montano.
Moreover, Oscar Diaz from Oxnard, CA, with 2 wins and 0 losses, will take on Angel Torres, with 2 wins, 8 losses, 2 ties and 1 knockout, in a lightweight bout. Similarly, Ray Rivera of Los Angeles, with 2 wins, 0 losses and 1 knockout, will take on Ernesto
Morales, listed at 1-1. Another bout will be between Ray Chacon, with 4 wins and 1 loss, and Misael Martinez, with 0 wins and 5 losses, in a super bantamweight bout. The final fight will be between Robert Guzman and Victor Altamirano in a welterweight clash.
Both the fighters, Robert and Victor, are newcomers and this will be their debut bout. All the bouts today will be of four rounds.
The card that will feature all the aforementioned bouts will be the first ever show of the League of Champions (LOC) tour. Simon Herrera will head the event under a league format. Simon previously has claimed that this format will be highly beneficial for
the sport and the global boxing community.
Tickets of the show are priced at $150 and $100 and are still available. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the first bout will start at 7:00 p.m. One part of the event will be televised on March 24, Saturday, on KDOC at 2 p.m.
