The German striker believes that the Romanian tactician is still the right man to coach Dynamo Moscow despite a terrible start to the Russian Premier campaign
Dynamo Moscow endured a rough start to the Russian Premier League campaign after losing seven out of eight league meetings since the start of the Russian championship in July.
However, the White-blues managed to secure a 3-2 win over Lokomotiv Moscow at Stadion Lokomotiv (Moscow) last month. As things stand, the Dinamiki are at the bottom spot on the league table.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kevin-Kuranyi-c20736 has backed under-fire head coach, Dan Petrescu, despite their earlier losses in the domestic championship, insisting that the Romanian tactician does not deserve all the criticism for their worst start to the season.
The German striker refuses to blame Petrescu for the recent losses and takes full responsibility on his shoulders, insisting that the entire squad deserve a stick for their slow start to the season.
“He has a lot of experience. I think he was a top player and a great manager. As a coach he worked with small teams and tried to put them on a high level. Petrescu talks to the players and try to be honest with them. In addition,
he is trying to look into everything, even the smallest details.”
“I have experienced a lot of things in my career and Petrescu knows it. I really like the way he spoke to me directly and share his ideas with me. He speaks with me about the club and motivates individuals to work harder to change
the situation.” The former Stuttgart forward was quoted as saying.
Petrescu, who joined the Moscow-based club after leaving Kuban Krasnodar this summer, helped the Cossacks in their progression from the Russian first division in his debut season and made land mark signings such as Lacina Traore.
Consequently, Kuranyi is of the belief that the former Southampton player needs a little more time before he can turn the tables around at the Moscow-based club. The 30-year-old went on to assure the fans of winning the upcoming
match against Amkar Perm on Saturday.
