Jurgen Knappenberger has confirmed that his client will not be leaving the Russian outfit this summer despite strong interest from host of European clubs
Jurgen Knappenberger has confirmed that his client, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kevin-Kuranyi-c20736, has no intentions to leave Dynamo Moscow during the upcoming summer transfer window despite reported interest from a host of top European clubs.
Kuranyi, who signed a three-year contract after making a move to the Russian outfit, has extended his stay at the Moscow-based club last November. His current contract will now run out in summer 2015.
Media reports in Russia suggest that the German striker, who has made a decent strike partnership with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andriy-Voronin-c6020 ever since making a move to the Russian outfit from Schalke in 2010, is ready to leave Arena Khimki after falling
out with Sergei Silkin.
Silkin’s future at Moscow is under fresh scrutiny following Dynamo’s failure to secure UEFA Champions League qualification this season. The Dinamiki will play in the UEFA Europa League after finishing 4th in the Russian
Premier League table.
Worse still, the White-blues failed to claim the Russian Cup after losing 1-0 in the domestic cup final against Rubin Kazan at Tsentralnyi stadion.
Knappenberger has insisted that his client is not considering leaving, confirming that the former Sporting player will remain at the Russian outfit whether Silkin remains in-charge or not.
Kuranyi’s agent has conceded that his client wants to end his playing career in Germany, insisting that the 30-year-old forward will return to his native land in near future.
“He has extended his contract till 2015 recently. So, he will definitely stay. Kevin has no problem with Sergei Silkin, he likes the coach. Kuranyi has expressed a desire to return to his homeland in a couple of interviews, but
he also said 'After my career or at the end of my career'.”
“Stuttgart is his hometown, his family lives there and he misses his family. This is the reason why he wants to return someday but not now.” Knappenberger was quoted as saying.
The Brazilian-born German striker has scored 22 goals in 57 league appearances during his stay at the Moscow-based club.
