Kevin Love, Danny Granger - NBA stars in need of a support option: NBA Feature
(Part 2)
Kevin Love:
The Minnesota Timberwolves’ forward Kevin Love is one of the very best rebounders in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and currently holds the longest streak of double-double. He was exceptional last season and proved a
great benefit for his team.
The Timberwolves’ management knows as without Love, its franchise cannot excel in the league in the upcoming seasons. He is the only hope at the moment and if he decided to leave the Wolves, the whole team will suffer from his
departure. Not only the Wolves need to keep him but they should also provide some good backup support to Kevin Love in the future seasons.
A good sidekick talent will help the Wolves in many ways. First, that potential particular player will play alongside with Love and secondly this new duo will improve the Wolves’ winning record.
Though, the Wolves’ guard Michael Beasley, Luke Ridnour, rookie Derrick Williams and Ricky Rubio are very talented players but they need to include a sharp scorer in its roster. This offseason has also given some extra time to
the Wolves’ to consider over its new potential sidekick for Kevin Love.
Last season, Kevin Love averaged 20.2 points and 15.20 rebounds per game after playing total 73 games. Known for his brilliant passing and quick scoring, Kevin Love is hugely talented but just need a right supporter to carry forward
the Minnesota Timberwolves offence in the upcoming seasons.
Danny Granger:
The Indiana Pacers forward Danny Granger is another player who needs a sidekick to carry forward its team’s offence in the upcoming seasons. Alone he cannot provide any title to Indiana Pacers. Another good player will take some
burden off from his shoulders.
Last season, Granger’s brilliant performance was witnessed by everybody. He certainly led his team in the later stages of the 2010-2011 regular season as the Pacers marched into the post season. The Pacers qualified for the first
round playoffs as number eighth seed from the Eastern Conference. Playing against the Chicago Bulls was a difficult task but the Pacers could not show a promising start and lost in the very first round.
Despite the defeat, Danny Granger’s performance remained consistent in all five games the Pacers played against the Bulls. Scoring 24 points in the first game, Granger went on and scored 19 points, six rebounds and three assists
in the later game. His performance was also pretty consistent in the last three games.
Seeing his last season’s performance, Danny Granger can still be very lethal player but to win titles and play at the highest level in the league, the Pacers need to include some more young and quick scoring players. Currently
the Pacers are highly relying on Granger’s tremendous skills but sooner or later if they want to compete well in the season, they have to bring some more qualities players who will play alongside with Granger and show some great resilience to its opponents
in the near future.
