December 6, 2010: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. New York Knicks
Love gave another tremendous performance on December 6, 2010. Playing on the road at Madison Square Garden, New York, Love erupted with 31 points and 15 rebounds.
However, the Timberwolves lost steam down the stretch in that game as they lost to the New York Knicks by 121-114.
Timberwolves played very well in the first half of the game. In the opening quarter, Love contributed 11 points which gave the Wolves a good start, 36-32. Love maintained
his momentum in the second quarter and added ten more points which gave his team 68-61 lead at the end of the first half.
In the third quarter though, Love did not contribute much. He added just four points in that frame, giving an upper hand to the Knicks, who sprinted to a lead. In
the final quarter, he put his full effort and scored eight points more. But, it was not enough to cut off the lead.
December 18, 2010: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Denver Nuggets
Playing at the Pepsi Centre in Denver, Love pounded his season-high 43 points and 17 rebounds. However, his efforts proved insufficient as the Wolves lost to the
Denver Nuggets by 115-113.
Love scored 14 points in the opening period but went cold in the second, scoring just four points. He tried hard to cut the lead but he was the lone fighting against
the Nuggets’ strong attack. In the final period he added 17 points which helped the Wolves to reduce the lead but they still failed to cross the line.
January 5, 2010: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Charlotte Bobcats
In another home defeat in overtime, Love gave an astonishing performance, scoring 35 points along with 15 rebounds and five assists.
In the first half of the game Love contributed 17 points to set the tone. He carried his momentum and racked up ten more points in the third quarter, which reduced
the deficit to 2 points. However, the Wolves again faded away in the final moments of the game as they lost by 105-103.
January 13, 2010: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Washington Wizards
In a superb home victory against the Washington Wizards, 109-97, Love scored 35 points along with 11 rebounds and four assists.
Scoring 14 points in the first quarter, Love gave a very good start to his team which led by 28-18 after 12 minutes. He scored seven points in the second and six
in the third quarter which propelled the Wolves towards a tremendous win.
January 26, 2010: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
In yet another over time loss, 118-117, Love scored 31 points along with 21 rebounds against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
February 27, 2010: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Golden State Warriors
In a closely fought game with their Western Conference, the Golden State Warriors, Love was outstanding throughout the whole game. He scored 37 points along with
23 rebounds as he marshalled his team to a 126-123 victory.
