Kevin Love to undergo Concussion test on Wednesday, could return Sunday night – NBA Update
Kevin Love has made some significant improvement in his injury and might be returning to action as early as Sunday night.  Love suffered a concussion after being hit on the forehead with an elbow on April 11th against
Denver Nuggets. He has since missed 4 straight games.
But he feels better now and is ready to take the league’s required concussion test so that he can be cleared for returning to action. The test is scheduled to take place on Wednesday. Love intends to return to the team Sunday night
against the Golden State Warriors. If he is unable to, he will then return on April 26th in the season finale against Denver.
“I’ve never really had a head injury before. It's just different. But I feel good. I feel like I'm good to go” said Love.
Love did not want to return for the season unless he was fully fit as he did not want to risk any further injury. With the Timberwolves out of playoff discussion over the past few weeks and now officially out of playoff contention,
there is no reason for Love to hurry to make his comeback. He wants to take time off and let his injury heal completely before he returns.
If it's worth it, and I feel good, then I'll do it," said Love
Love has had an incredible season with the Wolves, averaging 26 points and 13.3 rebounds per game. He was even in MVP discussion at one point this year when the Wolves were in contention of reaching the playoffs. However, the team
was hit with injury trouble, with Ricky Rubio out with torn ligaments in his left knee and Luke Ridnour out with an ankle injury. The Wolves coach said that he would like Kevin Love and Ridnour to play again before the end of the season, but gave more priority
to their health.
Kevin Love is quite optimistic about the concussion test he is scheduled to take on Wednesday.
"I'll pass. Its four steps. You have to do some cardio tests and some brain work. I'm assuming the cardio will go a lot better than the latter part. That's always been the case" said Love
Love said that he has been only resting and sleeping since being injured. He was not allowed to use any cellular phones or watch any television. But he did turn the television on during half time of the team’s game against Indiana
on Monday night. The Wolves were trailing the Pacers 30-64.
"I haven't been on my phone, I haven't been on my computer, I haven't been on TV. Although I did turn on the TV last night at halftime and immediately turned it back off" said Love
