England’s blazing batsman, Kevin Pietersen, has cited a flawless team composition as the key to England’s success, saying that the present crew is a winning combination, where everyone has been playing
his role superbly.
The English side wrested the No. 1 position on ICC's Test standings, routing the Indians by an innings and 242 runs in the third Test, held at Edgbaston, from August 10 to August 13, 2011.
Leading the ongoing series 3-0 against the World Champions, the Englishmen are all set to establish their dominance at the highest level by whitewashing http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750.
Heaping special praise on the current English squad, Pietersen has stated that the side is just a few steps away from a status where other teams will be fearful of playing against England.
He gave full credit to his teammates for pushing the cricket analysts to acknowledge England as the best in the business, and insisted that the present English gang has no weak point in any department
of the game.
"You look at that engine room - (from) Matty Prior down to number 10, those guys there can score 150 runs and take the game away from you - we've seen it a couple of times already in this series. If we
get ourselves into a bit of a hole at 120 for five or 80 for five we can still get 250-300 - and then back our bowlers to do the business," said Pietersen who migrated from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 to England for playing cricket.
Citing self-belief as the secret to the success, the 31-year-old batsman described that the best thing about the current English team is that every member of the troop motivates his teammates.
"If Cooky [http://www.senore.com/Cricket/AN-Cook-c1026] does well, like he did in the last Test, it's absolutely amazing and you can feel it from me as a person to him - he knows I'm really ecstatic,” shared the aggressive right-hander
who has amassed 358 runs so far in the series, the highest by any player during the last three Tests.
