Sir Vivian Richards, the legendary West Indian batsman, has expressed that England’s Kevin Pietersen is one of the most devastating batsmen of the present-day cricket and said that the right-hander reminds him of Mohammad Ali, the great boxer.

The 60-year-old scored more than 15 thousand runs at the ultimate level of the sport with averages of 50.23 and 47 runs per innings in Tests and One Day Internationals (ODIs) respectively.
Richards however, has turned out to be a fan of Pietersen, and associated him with the legendary boxer.   
The former cricketer expressed, “Pietersen reminds me of a Muhammad Ali. Folks came to see Ali get beaten because he had said one or two things that had upset people, but at the end of the day they just marvelled at what he achieved.”
Since making his way to the global arena in 2004, Pietersen has so far played 86 Tests, 127 ODIs and 36 T20s for England and has been a genuine match-winner over the years. The 31-year-old has played a massive role in making England the number one ranked
Test team of the world.
The stylish cricketer recently announced his retirement from limited-overs internationals, but will continue to play Test cricket for his adopted country.
Richards further added that Pietersen is quite a wonderful character for the game and he has the capacity to demonstrate his talent against any bowling attack in the world.
