http://www.senore.com/Cricket/KP-Pietersen-c1806 has joined Delhi Daredevils from Deccan Chargers for the upcoming 5th edition of the lucrative Indian Premier League.
Pietersen, who has also performed duties with the Royal Challengers Bangalore, joined Chargers for the 2011 IPL version, but injuries ruled him out of the tournaments.
He has now switched allegiances to the Delhi franchise, which will see him play alongside the likes of explosive openers in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/V-Sehwag-c2739.
The 5th installment will commence on the 4th of April, which sees Chennai Super Kings taking on http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 Indians where as Delhi’s first match will commence a day later against the Kolkata Knight Riders.
Alongside fellow Englishmen, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Andrew-Flintoff-c44360, who has now retired from cricket, Pietersen was highest paid player when he joined Bangalore in 2009 for a whopping (1.55 million dollar).
However, due to international commitments he only played a handful games in his first season in the IPL while this time around he is expected to feature in at least half of the Delhi’s game. The official transfer figure is not confirmed but it is expected
to be in the region of $2 million.
TA Sekhar, head of GMR Sports and the owner of Daredevils was thrilled to capture the flamboyant English batsman.

KP, who is currently with the national team on tour of UAE where they will lock horns with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 in the first Test from January 17th, was looking forward to his stint with the Delhi outfit.
"I am looking forward to a wonderful time with the Delhi Daredevils," Pietersen said. "It will be a great experience to be playing in the same squad as Sehwag."
The other auction will take place from next month, which will mainly cater to the players of the terminated Kochi franchise.
