Kevin Pietersen picked as TV presenter for World T20 by ESPN STAR Sports – Cricket News Roundup – Part 4 – August 24, 2012
ESPN STAR Sports has picked http://www.senore.com/Cricket/KP-Pietersen-c1806 to feature in their TV presenter team for the ICC World T20, after the 32-year-old found himself excluded from England’s 15-man squad, owing to a severe disagreement with the board.
The company confirmed via a release that Pietersen would form a part of their 'presentation and analysis team', in addition to featuring as an important part of the World T20 broadcast’s promotion and publicity. The event is due to be held in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 this
September.
Pietersen’s exclusion comes in the aftermath of a serious spat with the board. Following a brilliant performance in the second Test against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757, the right-hander called a press conference and claimed there were “obstacles” he felt needed to be resolved
between him and the board, in addition to issues in the team dressing room, if he were to consider playing for England again.
He was later revealed to have sent derogatory text messages about team management to South African players, after which he issued an apology, and made himself available for selection. However, selectors did not name him in the World T20 squad announced this
Tuesday.
