England batsman Kevin Pietersen has expressed his hunger for runs in international cricket and said that he wants to be back to his best.
The prolific right hander had to withdraw himself from England’s squad of the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013’s squad which will take on Sri
Lanka in the first Test of the series from Thursday.
Pietersen said that he was struggling with form last season but http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Graham-Xavier-Ford-c60657 helped him to return to form. The South African born right hander said that he was desperate for runs at that time. Pietersen feels that he is in good touch at the moment and it
is just about spending time on the crease and the runs will come automatically.
He said, "At the end of last summer I went away to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 and did some work with Graham Ford because I knew I needed to get back on the wagon and get the bug back and I got it back. It's not a case of putting pressure on myself and saying I need to
get runs: I know I'll get runs when I feel the way I'm feeling at the moment.”
He has been a tremendous ambassador of the game and has a huge fan following because of the flavor of cricket Pietersen plays. He has had a tremendous career so far in both limited overs and Test cricket as well. Although he has not been at his sublime best
off-late but he has been a match-winner for England over the years.
Pitersen thinks that he needs to enjoy the game and that’s how he can get the best out of him. He is happy that there is competition for places in the English team and said that everyone who performs at the domestic level has the right to play for England.

"It's a question of going out and enjoying my cricket again and I'm loving being back playing again. There's pressure for places in all departments and that's great. No-one has a God-given right to play in any team,” Pietersen added.
