Kevin Stadler and Graeme DeLaet may end at apex in Las Vegas
The Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospital for Children Open is due to be held from the 21st of October to the 24th and has a tough field of Charley Hoffman, Ricky Fowler, Alex Cejka, Lunde, John Mallinger, Kevin Na, Scott Piercy, Alex
Prugh, Nick Watney, Cameron Tringale, Dean Wilson, Tommy Armour III, Chad Campbell and Chris Riley, all striving for the purse of $ 4,300,000.
While Martin Laird is striving for a 2 in a row win and John Mallinger, the U.S. national stands as one of the favourites, Kevin Stadler and Graeme DeLaet can’t be ignored in any way.
Stadler, also known as the 'Son of Walrus' has a remarkable record of winning the European, the Nationwide and the Challenge Tour with only the US Tour win.
The man from Nevada has been playing with an undertone threat for quite some time and this maybe the final blow for him to jump to the top. The thirty year old achieved the second place in two events held this year. He has finished in the top ten 5 times
and one time at the sixth place at the Frys.com Open held last week.
Stadler was disqualified last time because he had a bent club in the golf bag. The thirty year old was standing at the fifth place before the DQ and was heading well towards the win.
According to many critics, the Scottsdale resident is said to possess golf in his genes, who has finished at the fifth place three months ago at the Reno-Tahoe Open. Stadler stood as the runner-up in 2007, which strengthens hopes for many Stadler fans.
The 2002 turned professional, is now entering the 4th start of the Fall Series. He grabbed sixth place at the McGladrey Classic and played his three rounds in the 60s. His performance at the previous events has made his game hold an amazing amount
of momentum.
Other than Stadler, Graeme Delaet is also showing signs of finishing at the top of the boards. The twenty-eight year old is wagered to finish at the apex largely due to his performance over the last month.
He attained 5th place at the Viking Classic, a top 25 at the The McGladrey and then at the 6th place at the Classic Frys.com Open. The Canadian has managed to achieve the first position when it comes to ball striking stats.
The twenty-eight year old has been getting better and better in his putting abilities which are evident from his play at the Reno-Tahoe. The Canadian carded an impressive 62 at the third round of the event.
According to DeLaet, he feels his best in this area. He explained his third round of the event by comparing it to his Boise College conditions and stated that it has the same high and dry form which he is used to playing.
Now if we compare Boise conditions and the Vegas area, they both have approximately the same conditions. The event due to be held in Nevada is just 110 miles away from Boise, which is elevated above the sea level a total of 2,704 feet. If DeLaet felt comfortable
with the Boise conditions, then he won’t feel much difference at the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospital for Children Open in Las Vegas.
Kevin Stadler is thus with 0.75 points with a 90/1 due to his last week’s game and a record finish at the Reno event. Along with the Son of Walrus, Graeme DeLaet holds the betting odd of 66/1,  in the same boat as Stadler, but a better ball striker.
