The attacking midfielder confirmed he will not make a permanent switch to Bremen under any circumstance.
The 21-year-old was snapped up by the FA Cup champions over the summer from his native side Genk, but was immediately loan out to Bremen on a season-long loan deal to gain first team experience and improve as a footballer. The
young starlet has started the season well for his new team and netted twice in four league games.
The young prodigy is contracted to the Blues until June 2017 and is expected to be a top player for them in the near future. The attacker is positive and believes he has the potential to get a place in the English outfit, and feels
that he is definitely eyeing a return with his club after the current campaign.
De Bruyne conceded that he is respected at Chelsea and they have high expectations from the star player. He ruled out a stay with the German club beyond his loan spell even on a temporary basis.
"I know that I will have to return to Chelsea FC. They are convinced of my qualities,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
"There will be no chance for Werder Bremen to snap me up or to extend the loan spell further,” the talented winger mused.
"I am of the belief that I have everything needed to break through at a club the size of Chelsea FC. I am able to play good football even at such a club," the former Genk player finally concluded.
The stalwart said that he is confident of his abilities and believes he can be an integral player for the Premiership team, as he can adapt at any club.
