  1. If he has any sense he wont be, that job is a poison chalice, what self respecting manager would work for a club which he has no control in who he can buy or sell !!

  2. The way things have been going this week i think the entire rangers staff might be lookin for other clubs I think that rangers fc are on their last legs and staring closure in the face

  3. They can have Curbishley

  4. As a man with pride, he had no option to leave. I mean the poisoned dwarf of football telling someone the stature of Keegan who to, and who not to buy! Give me a break.

Unfortunately for Newcastle they are a club with a massive support NOT a massive club with a massive support. The last trophy they won was in 1969, the Inter Fairs cup or something like that.

As to your Q, undoubtedly a manager of Strachan's calibre and record would be considered by any club, but I cannot see that happening. The budget might be available, his record might soothe the fans, but it just won't happen.

English football has a secret desire to get non-English coaches running their teams, only 8 clubs (2 without managers MIGHT make it ten) in the top flight are managed by Englishmen. The national team is run by an Italian. Whereas in the SPL 11 of the 12 teams are managed by Scots.

Newcastle want to join this European merry-go-round, and a Scottish coach will not be on their shopping list.

  5. straight swap I reckon?

  6. I seriously doubt it.  The Newcastle job seems a thankless task.

    PS

They could do worse than get big Tony Mowbray in.

  7. Newcastle have been underachievers for years,in a footy mad city, its not good enough, again for the new manager the transfer window s closed so the new manager has his hands tied ,as i said before owens on 160.000 squid a week.5 years ago he was a good striker not worth 30,000 a week now, even fit,so youve got a poor squad, hyper fans, not worth the hassle, better staying in glasgow at least here you can win at least 1 trophy every year, the board will probably go for an x player to please the fans

  8. maybe but not before he has done the 4IAR so next season could do

  9. it's only football

it doesn't mater who takes over

  10. yep after next weeks defeat wgs will be off

  11. alex mcleish would b a possibility.he has a habit of walking out on teams so the extra dosh wid do for him.turncoats never change.just ask walter smith.no morals whatsoever

lots of hugs and kisses chas c xxxxxxxx

  12. He will be sacked by christmas when celtic are out the CL and trailing rangers for the spl

  13. Who is WGS????

  14. After 4IAR

  15. Why not Walt and Wally?? .. they're more inclined to walk away from a commitment than wee Chesney .. haven't they proved that before?? .
