http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rajasthan-c837 Royals’ all-rounder, Kevon Cooper, is extremely upset to have been ruled out of the on-going fifth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and cannot wait to return to competitive cricket.
The young cricketer from Trinidad & Tobago is yet to play international cricket for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Cooper-c51561 was the leading wicket-taker of
the tournament and was holding the Purple Cap.
Cooper picked up 10 scalps in just six matches at an average 17.40. On top of that, the medium-fast bowler had an economy rate of 7.25, which is good for the shortest format of the game.  The all-rounder played a crucial role in Rajasthan’s early success
in the tournament.
The right-arm medium-fast bowler twisted his ankle in the match against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780 Daredevils last month and as a result, he was ruled out for the rest of the tournament as the doctors have advised him a rest of four to six weeks.
While expressing his disappointment, Cooper expressed that he had tears in his eyes when he got to know that he can no longer take part in the current season. The 23-year-old cricketer had set his sights on becoming the leading wicket-taker of the tournament
but his progress has been halted by the injury.
Cooper said, “I actually cried when I hear that because I was really enjoying IPL. (I got) 10 wickets and I was really looking forward to getting the purple cap (for the leading wicket-taker). It’s a disappointing end for me but it’s good to be back home
with friends and family. I hope I recover (quickly).”
The all-rounder further added that it was a great experience to play in the cash-rich league and vows to make a strong comeback to competitive cricket, once he recovers from injury.
“I think it was a ‘dream come true’ for me. I cherish every moment of it but it’s a bit disappointing for me to end my IPL this way. Hopefully I can be out in four weeks time but if six weeks is the case, I’m looking forward to getting back on the field,”
he added.
