  1. Might be a crepe myrtle tree. They have no bark on the tree almost as if it was sanded down.

    I agree the one that comes to mind is the Bougainvillea.

    Here are a few other possibilities.

    Red Powderpuff

    Firebush, which is also known as the Hummingbird bush

    Lipstick Hibiscus

    Cape Honeysuckle

  3. could be birds of paradise(not the one that has the banana like leaves, the one that is a tree.

    also maybe an orleander.

    bougainvilleas are a possible choice as well

  5. Are you thinking of the Kapac Tree?  It is rare and only found in Florida (2) and one other place.

  6. Could be Crepe Myrtles? Need to be a bit mored specific to know for sure..
