Key? iPhone? What is this?

My iPhone came with a little metal "key" does anyone know what this is for? It's an oval shape with a little stem on it.

I believe you can remove your sim card using that key.

does it have a little code on it or something? my mom got something with hers that had a code and she uses it like when she needs to go get help from the verizon people and they enter it somewhere . . .?

It's a SIM card removal tool.  On the top of your iPhone, there is a long thin oval shape with a hole on one end.  You push the stem of the tool into the hole and it pops out the Sim card tray so you can switch out SIm cards when you sell it or get a new phone (or unlock it and put it on another carrier) :-)

If you lose the tool or have an original iPhone, the same thing can be done with a small paper clip.
