  1. They are both the same. I hope you have fun in band! Playing the flute is great. It was my instrument in middle school. Have fun with it. You will have practice a lot!

  2. There's no difference. That's the one that every one gets for band. You should look into a bass flute, though. They have the most beautiful sound ever. Enjoy!

  3. A "regular flute" is in the key of C

  4. The normal flute is in the Key of C.

Just like most clarinets are in the key of b flat....

  5. A key of C flute is a regular flute and it will be fine to play in your school band.

All normal flutes are in the key of C

  6. Most flutes are in the key of C, so it should be fine in the school band.  :]  Have lots of fun in band!  Good luck.

  7. HI Ashley,

What you found for sale on YouTube was the regular flute you see students play in band... so you are fine!!   That flute is in the key of C and was described as such... because there are flutes that are in different keys.   There is a flute in the key of Eb and key of G but these are specialized instruments.  Actually,  a flute builder can make an instrument in any key he likes.. but you just don't see many of them out there for sale.    The normal flute, in the key of C, is also refered to as the standard Concert flute.  And even if the flute has a B foot which is considered the upgrade or advanced flute,  it is still a regular/standard Concert flute.

    Hope I could be helpful
