Question:

Keyboard switching to french settings?

I am hitting some sort of key command that switches my keyboard settings to I believe french-canadian. So far I have done it in Yahoo Messenger and Firefox. Doing it in one doesn't effect the other.

Now instead of a question mark I get: É

' = è

" = È

] = ç

etc

Thanks!

(I feel dumb)

  1. The left Alt plus Shift will switch the language.

    -MM

  2. If you have a PC, go to the bottom right hand corner. There are two letters like FR for French or something like that. Right click it and choose English to set it back.

    If you have a Mac, open System Preferences and click on International. Go to the Input Menu tab. At the bottom, select "Show input menu in menu bar".  Then, in the list, select the languages you most often type with. Include English. Then on your menu bar, there is a flag. Click it and select your preferred writing language.
