Keypad issue

Question

I am having several issues with the keypad: When I type the number 5 it sometimes gives me the number 7. When I am texting half the time when I type the letters "jkl" I get "pqr". But not always with continuity, it may give me a combination of both!? When I search through the contacts using the down key it automatically goes to the letter "t". The same thing happens when I try doing a contacts search physically typing the letters. Thank you for any assistance. I contacted Motorola USA and they wont help since the phone is not a US market phone.
