Keys/Min and Brown/Stephenson to clash in the final of Girls’ Doubles – AEGON International 2011
Madison Keys/Grace Min defeat Danieka Borthwick/Katy Dunne 6-3, 6-1
American Madison Keys and Grace Min knocked out Danieka Borthwick and Katy Dunne of Great Britain in straight sets 6-3, 6-1 in the semi-finals of Girl’s doubles event at the AEGON International in Eastbourne on Friday. It took
the American pair just 59 minutes to oust their opponents.
Keys and Min broke their opponents in the fifth and seventh game of the opening set and consolidated on them to bag the set 6-2. The Americans were able to deliver a single ace and 76 percent of the first serves, winning 68 percent
of the points on them. Keys and Min returned brilliantly as they won 47 percent of the first return points in the opening set. The Americans capitalised on two of the four break point opportunities they created on the British team’s serve and succeeded in
saving all the three break points they faced on their own serve in the first set.
Borthwick and Dunne took an early lead in the second set as they broke Keys and Min in the second game, taking a 2-0 lead. However, the Americans broke back in the fifth game and held their serve in the next game to level the score
at 3-3. Keys and Min broke again in the ninth game and served out the set at 5-4. The Americans won two of the three break points they received in the second set. On the other hand, Borthwick and Dunne converted the only break point they received in the second
set.
Keys and Min are drawn to meet Lucy Brown and Francesca Stephenson of Great Britain in the title match.

Lucy Brown and Francesca Stephenson of Great Britain prevailed over Victoria Duval and Kirsta Hardebeck of USA in straight sets 6-4, 6-4 to reach the final.
The Brits broke their opponents in the ninth game of the first set, grabbing it 6-4. Brown and Stephenson fired a single ace and 63 percent of the first serves, claiming a meagre 41 percent of the points on them in the first set.
The British duo won four of the five break points they received and saved three of the six break points they faced in the opening set.
Brown and Stephenson were looking to seal the match quickly as they broke the Americans in the opening game of the second set and consolidated on it to take a 2-0 lead. However, Duval and Hardebeck fought back, breaking the Brits
in the eighth game to level the score at 4-4. After that, Brown and Stephenson captured two consecutive games and won the set 6-4. The British duo bagged an incredible 55 percent of the first return points in the second set. The match lasted for an hour and
nine minutes.
