Khaidar Alkhanov believes Terek Grozny are likely to sign
Adílson Warken and Oleg Ivanov Gremio and FC Rostov respectively after medical examination.
Following Ramzan Kadyrov’s take over as the Terek Grozny president, new signings have been in the mix. But somehow the Chechens have failed to add any noticeable talent since the previous summer transfer window.
Terek Grozny Vice-President, Khaidar Alkhanov, has now confirmed that the Russian outfit are on the brink of signing star midfielders Adílson Warken and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Rostov-c39192, respectively.
However, he insisted that a deal will only take place after a thorough medical check up.
The Chechens are at the eleventh spot on the Russian Premier League table and Alkhanov believes the new signings will only strengthen the Chechens and assured the fans of a decent spot at the end of the current season.
Since the club parted company with Ruud Gullit, the former head coach, the Chechens have been struggling domestically. Alkhanov is not ignorant of the ongoing crisis and assured the fans that he is working with the club president
to alter the situation.
Alkhanov went on to reveal the reason behind signing the two midfielders and identified that Terek are lacking quality midfielders. He thanked the scouts for identifying the talented midfielders and hinted on more signings during
the winter transfer window.
“We have been watching these players and came to the conclusion that they are able to strengthen our game in the middle of the field.
“Both are experienced midfielder with a good football taste. We will sign the contracts only after an in-depth medical examination on Thursday.” the vice-president was quoted as saying.
Speaking on Ivanov, the vice-president revealed that Terek are interested in signing the former Spartak Moscow player for quite some time. He added that the Russian midfielder was an integral part of the Russian national football
team, under Guus Hiddink, that reached the semi-finals of Euro 2008.
Alkhanov confirmed that the Chechens are likely to offer Ivanov and Adílson three-year and three-and-a-half year contracts, respectively. However, he refused to specify the transfer fee for the midfielders.
