Khaider Alkhanov baffled by Terek Grozny defeat against Volga Nizhny Novgorod
Terek Grozny Vice President, Khaider Alkhanov, has bemoaned the Chechens' performance against Volga Nizhny Novgorod, highlighting that he is shocked to see the sluggish performance at the moment. Terek were defeated 3-1 in their
previous Russian Premier League encounter against the Volgari, away from home.
Alkhanov lamented the Chechens' performance and lack of team spirit against the weaker league opponents. Volga managed to claim their second league win of the season after defeating Terek at home.
Terek have only managed to claim a point in their previous four league meetings against Dynamo Moscow, Spartak Moscow, FK Rostov and Volga. Alkhanov admitted that he is furious with the results and currently overlooking the situation
at Akhmad Arena.
“I am very much disappointed with the series of ugly results. The relationship between the players and the manager is good and I usually hear good things from the training camp but I do not understand what's happening in the team.
However, the result demonstrates a complete lack of will, Lack of character and lack of desire to play. With all due respect to the Terek, the home team deserved to win. We had no right to lose in the meeting points. The coaching staff and all the players
are to be blamed for the failure.” The Russian national was quoted as saying.
The Vice President blamed the entire squad for displaying series of laggard performances. Alkhanov insisted that the head coach, Isa Baytiyev and the back room staff needs to change the situation quickly.
Alkhanov believes the Chechens have made it difficult for themselves to finish their season at the middle of the league table. The Russian national insisted that the club president, Ramzan Kadyrov, is ready to take necessary actions
in order to pull the Nohchi out of the crisis.
