Khan and Milignaggi’s Twitter spat with Leon Knight – Boxing News
Former IBF and WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan is once again knocked out, this time not in the ring but on Twitter. English footballer, who plays as a striker, Leon Knight launched a brutal verbal attack on Khan on Twitter, after the Briton fighter
attacked him and former foe Paulie Malignaggi.
“Oi you go to sleep anytime anyone confronts you. so that makes you the p***y. Lol,” tweeted Knight, who believes Khan ‘falls asleep’ with just one punch of his opponent.
“d**k head thinks anyone is hating on him going to sleep in front of millions of people. Cut it out Khan, York hall for your next fight lol,” he added regarding Khan’s recent statements dubbing his critics as those who are jealous of him.
“I aint trying to fight Khan in the ring but bring him on a football pitch and watch me chopper Harris is whole life lol,” was yet another Tweet from Knight.
Knight’s attacks were not just intended towards Khan. He even went on bashing former IBF light welterweight titlist and the current WBA welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi as someone who has no followers on Twitter.
Malignaggi was already fighting out his Twitter reputation with Khan just when Knight pitched in.
“Someone tell paulie he can't be tweet king when he's getting stopped by a sleep walker. Your a pro boxer with no followers and if u think khan & Hatton hurt u ... I'll fully flatline u on here,” Knight said for Malignaggi.
He added that Malignaggi is a fraud and the boxing world does not even take him seriously. According to Leon Knight, Malignaggi is just a warm up opponents for other fighters.
It seems like Knight is on a mission to build his social media reputation. His last Twitter spat was against Jamie O'Hara, English footballer of Irish descent, who plays as a midfielder for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Following Knight’s harsh comments, Khan once again played cool, asking Malignaggi to fight Knight for a charity showdown. However, Malignaggi was not in the sparing mood and so he went personal against Knight, saying he would never fight a person who is
just 5 feet tall.
