The Borussia Dortmund starlet stressed on the importance of clinching the semi-final spot, which he believes his side deserved after, thrashing the Hellas and remaining unbeaten.
“It was our big goal to reach the next round and in the end we won deservedly,” he is quoted as saying in an interview.
 
The midfielder was reportedly unhappy at not being played consistently by his coach. He revealed he held talk with Joachim Low who told him to keep working hard and you will be granted a place in the team. The 23-year old did as
his coach told him to and got his chance.
“We had some talks with the coach in the last days. He told me to keep going and that I would get my chance. I kept working and today I got my chance," he added.

to our potential, it is very hard to beat us," Khedira said.
