Dmitri Khlestov believes that the Moscow-based club will find it easy to win the upcoming Russian Premier League tie in absence of Alan Dzagoev
Dmitri Khlestov has urged Spartak Moscow to extend their decent run in the Russian Premier League after winning the upcoming tie against CSKA Moscow at Luzhniki stadium on Sunday.
Though Spartak suffered a 3-2 defeat in their second group stage match of the UEFA Champions League against Celtic FC at home, they are enjoying decent league form after claiming back-to-back wins against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Rostov-c39192 and Amkar Perm
respectively.
The Moscow-based club, meanwhile, managed to reach the round-of-8 of the Russian Cup after defeating FC Salyut Belgorod 2-1 at Stadion Salyut last month.
Khlestov admitted that the Red-whites are struggling on the European front after suffering their latest defeat against the Scottish club prior to losing their first group stage tie 3-2 against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Barcelona-c39078.
However, he believes that Unai Emery’s men are getting better and better in the league after recording just three defeats so far this season.
“Spartak are not having problems with the attitude to match a certain level. I think they are not accustomed to play two or three games a week. They need to adopt this thing if they are to get decent results domestically.”
“Unfortunately, there is no stability in the team. The team looks great one day and fails the other day. Spartak needs to work on this issue. I think the match will be close. I hope they get a 2-1 win but it looks like a draw.”
The Russian Cup winner was quoted as saying.
Khlestov warned the Spartachi against complacency, saying that the Armeytsy have offensive-minded players who can initiate quick counter-attacks.
The Army-men will be without the services of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alan-Dzagoev-c4249 for the much anticipated league encounter. Khlestov revealed that the Moscow-based club will struggle to dictate the game without the prolific Russian midfielder.
However, he insisted that CSKA have great players to replace Dzagoev and gave the examples of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Keisuke-Honda-c20516. The Japanese International is in fine form at the moment after scoring four goals in ten league appearances already this
season.
