  1. I LOVE Giant Bikes and don't like to ride anything else. I have two of them. Giant is a great bike brand, more well known then KHS, but KHS's bikes are great too. Your really comparing apples to apples here. Don't get the Schwiinn. Schwinn quality is not as good as it used to be. I did notice that the Cypress model you had there has disc brakes and the other models don't. Disc brakes are great. Better stopping power and when they are wet they are so much better then cantilever brakes. I have ridden a Cypress DX before and it is really a nice ride. I think you should check that one out.

I highly recommend Giant for there great bikes and quality control and customer service.

Also remember! When you look at website like Giantbicycles.com and KHSBIKES.com you see an AVERAGE price. The price is often much lower and varies from dealer to dealer. So before you go by the price on the website, see what the dealer has it priced at.

    Good luck!

  2. Between the bikes you mention I will always go for KHS. They are not as popular as the other 2 but have an excellent reputation from customers AND from mechanics.

Both the Schwinn and the Giant are made at Giant so the difference will be little to zero.

  3. Looking at the bikes that you have listed here all are very similar quality. My personal preference for this type of bike is the TREK 7200FX. My recommendation to you would be to ride every bike you can get your hands on, some shops will let you take one home for a small fee to trial it. See which one fits you the best. Typically when dealing with reputable bicycles, the more you spend the better equipment you are getting. That being said, sometimes the differences are things such as shifting quickness / smoothness / durability.

Good luck on your final decision, may it bring you many happy miles in the saddle!
