Out of favour Pakistani Test cricketer, Khurram Manzoor, is hoping for a recall in the national team for the series against England and claimed that he will perform brilliantly against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/AJ-Strauss-c964 and company, if given an opportunity.
The 25-year-old cricketer made his Test debut against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 in 2009. Since then, he has played seven Test matches in which he has scored three half-centuries. However, there has been criticism on his technique and the ability to score runs at a fast
pace.
The right-handed opening batsman has been doing well in the domestic cricket of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 since the last couple of seasons, and hopes to return in future at the international level.
Pakistan cricket team is currently in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747, where they have won the limited overs series by a comprehensive margin and now the Green Shirts are ready to take on the Bengali Tigers in the Test series.
After the tour of Bangladesh, Pakistan will play a full-fledged series against England in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/United-Arab-Emirates-c3033 next month.
Khurram feels that England has the potential to challenge the Pakistan team, especially in Test cricket because they are the number one ranked Test team of the world at the moment.
If given an opportunity, the batsman from Karachi feels that he can help Pakistan dismantle the English team.
Khurram said, "There is a big series coming up against England and I feel that I can perform well against England at the top of the order if given the chance. England are a fantastic side and in great form but in the conditions in the UAE I feel that I can
provide Pakistan with the perfect platform opening the innings.”
England has a very good bowling attack in the presence of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/TT-Bresnan-c2711 and Chris Tremlett. Khurram feels that Pakistan will have to bat well at the top of the order and he is confident that he can deliver the goods against the
Poms.
“Starting well is key against good teams like England and I am confident that I can do well against Anderson, Broad and the rest," he added.
