Ki Sung-Yeung says Celtic must win every game to claim SPL title
Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-Yeung says his club must win every game between now and the end of the season if they are to reclaim the Scottish Premier League title from the Rangers.
Neil Lennon's men drew their second game in a row following the 1-1 stalemate with Dundee United on Saturday 20 November, when they lost a two-goal lead against Inverness Caledonian Thistle on 27 November.
Ki put his side ahead in the 38th minute of the match, and winger Paddy McCourt looked to have wrapped up all three points for the Hoops in the game at Celtic Park when he netted after 65 minutes.
However, Terry Butcher's side fought back to claim a hard-earned draw and to ensure Caley made it a year without losing an away game when Richie Foran and Grant Munro scored inside the last 20 minutes.
The result has left Celtic two points behind their fierce rivals in the SPL, but Rangers have a game in hand after their scheduled match with Dundee United was called off due to inclement weather.
Ki told Celtic's website that his side could not afford any more slip-ups if they are to win their first title in three years.
He said: "It's going to be very important, every single game that we play. We have to try our best and raise our standard. We have to win every game now, that's what we have to do. After Paddy scored, I thought we would go on to win the game. But after we
conceded the first goal, which was our mistake, then we just panicked.”
Celtic's next opportunity to catch up with Rangers will come when they face Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Saturday 4 December. The Hoops won their last game against the Dons 9-0 on 6 November.
