Question:

Kiahanie--Molalla Tribe origination/meaning or ?

I work for the Forest Service in the Willamette National Forest in Oregon and we operate a campground called Kiahanie (pronounced key-uh-hawn-nee). I have always loved the name, but I have not been able to find an interpretation of its meaning, nor have I been able to find where the word originated. There were two prominent tribes in the area before white settlement, these were the Kalapooya and the Mollala. I was hoping that someone might be able to tell me what this word means or at least direct me to a site/source that can help me. Thanks so much!
