Kick off the summer parties????

Question

What kind of theme and things could i do at a kick off the summer party???

I dont have a pool or anything, but is there something funn i could do??

what kind of food? how long??

You could do a tropical theme and have NA pina coladas, fresh tropical fruit, ham sandwiches, chips etc.

Or a Mexican theme with NA Margaritas, chips and salsa and a make your own taco bar.

Have lots of outdoor games, like bean bag toss, horse shoes, croquet, maybe get some sidewalk chalk and have a drawing contest. If it's warm enough, get a slip and slide and tell everyone to bring a bathing suit and towel.

There's lots you can do!

You can do a backyard party and have a bbq with games in your yard.  Your theme can be just that, Start of Summer or Kickin' off the Summer!

Serve hamburgers and hot dogs with some toppings.  Lettuce, tomatos, onions, and ketchup for the burgers, and mustard and saurkrut for the hot dogs.  You can also do french fries.

Set up an ice cream bar.  Get chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream and some toppings.  Sprinkles, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and cherries.  Get those bowls made out of waffle cones and let everyone make their own sundaes.

For games, do relay races.  Potato sack races, three legged races, wheel barrel races, where one person stands and holds the other person's ankles and they race to the finish line.

You can get a badmitten net and break into teams and play badmitten and volleyball.

Get an inflatable kiddie pool and fill it with water, break into teams and have a tug of war, the losing team ends up in the pool!

Have water balloon fights!

Have a pie eating contest, but instead of pie, fill the pie tins with whipped cream and whoever finishes first wins!

Set up some lounge chairs and towels and umbrellas for those that can't or don't want to play so they can sit and enjoy watching the games, etc.
