Kickback Larry eying a surprise win at Hall Green
Kickback Larry will be looking for a surprise victory in a Grade A2 contest at Hall Green in England on Monday, November 19, 2012. He had been delivering some top quality results for his team for quite some time, but lost rhythm last time around in this
class, which would have shattered his confidence.
The talented greyhound was given pretty decent odds for that event and was expected to fight for the top three positions. However, he failed to meet the expectations of his team and ended up way down in sixth place.
He had entered that race from trap number six, which provided him an opportunity of attacking from the start. Despite that, he made a couple of terrible mistakes, which saw him struggle towards the ending moments.
The B. Hall’s trained hound will once again break in from trap number six today and will be hoping to make the most of his position this time around. He will need to have a balanced approach, as the overall distance to cover will be 480 metres. A victory
will earn him a cash prize of £122 in the end.
Although, the white and black dog has got immense talent, he has not managed to win the confidence of the bookmakers because of his performance last time around. He has been given a general starting price of 3 to 1, which is not that bad. He will definitely
encourage the punters to risk some bets in his favour at the end of the day.
According to the bookmakers, the real competition will be amongst Boherduff Carley and Professor Boswel. Both greyhounds have got a lot of talent, but they have not been able to deliver good results with consistency in recent times, which will put a few
doubts in the minds of the bettors.
On the other hand, Kickback Larry had only one bad outing, but his performances overall have been consistent. He completed a hat-trick of victories recently, proving what he is capable of achieving.
However, two of those victories came in Grade A4 events whereas just one came in this class. This goes onto show that he is capable of fighting for the top spot at Hall Green today.
