Kickboxing or just plain boxing

which one should do?

which one is better and which one helps you lose weight faster

and help fight better

because i want to take one of them but i don't know which one is best

  1. kickboxing is much more physical than boxing by far. you will do more damage usein kickboxing than boxing but if you want to be a good kickboxer learn boxing first. boxing will also be great for cardio workouts


  2. muay thai kickboxing is the most destructive force on earth. If you learn this, you will be deadly. Plain boxing is....plain.

  4. You should do boxing. the training provides an excellent work out for anyone and is not too high impact.

  7. most girls usually try kickboxing. for us when we train its serious but your trying to loose weight so they have a lot of shadow boxing and music and stuff.

    kick boxing will work both your legs and arms so it'll be more of a fun workout and you won't get bored. i'm pretty sure you'll get bored with plain boxing because you don't really care about techniques and are doing it more for the weight loss.

    about being a fighter? you actually want to fight fight? if its about defending yourself on the street or something , none of this is going to help you anyway. just kick the guy in the groin.

    if you want to learn proper self defense techniques then go for kav maga or hapkido or something.

  8. More girls do kickboxing and have more fun with kickboxing. The gyms are usually cleaner than boxing gyms. The fact that there are more girls there mean you will probably get harassed less and asked out on dates than in boxing gyms. Girls usually have better flexibility so kicking would probably be easier right off the bat. Both help you lose weight but kickboxing is probably more fun.
