Kicker comp help?

i have a kicker comp 12" and its black and yellow....but where the cone sits on that yellow peice that moves in and out, well that has come off around the edges and i was wondering how to glue it back down, and could i use super glue

  1. what you have experienced is a form of mechanical failure for over driving the sub. yes you can reattach, but do not use super glue. it is not flexible when dry and will simply crack. you need to used a rubber type epoxy. go to the hardware store and talk to a guy there or read the containers, look for a  epoxy that has decent flexible properties. or that is recommended for flexible items.

    I knew a guy once that bought a bike tire repair kit, and used the glue in that, very flexible, and seamed to work well. But understand no repair will be as good as the original and if the speaker is over driven again it will separate again.

  2. you can try it but honestly it might not last becouse of the vibrations. i hate to be the one to tell you this but i think you should upgrade anyways. kicker was good back in the good ole days but there are much better speakers to choose from now for pretty cheap prices
