Is this amp stable at 1 ohm? Im looking into getting this with a set of CVR 12s and wondering if I should pair it up with the 4 ohm versions or the 2 ohms? Thanks

  1. Use 1 sub 2 ohms or two 4 ohms sub connected in parallel. Don't try a 1 ohm load cause your amp and sub will fry.

  2. check the rating that this amp gives you.

you know where it tells you how much wattage it puts out at 4 ohms and at 2 ohms. If it gives you a wattage for 1 ohm then it is one ohm stable. if it doesnt tell you how much it can do at 1 ohm, then chances are its not 1 ohm stable

  3. No.  ZX1000.1 is 2 ohm stable.

If you want to buy a pair of CVR's, get the dual 2 ohm models and wire the dual voice coils in series (to get a 4 ohm load for each sub) and wire the two subs in parallel to the amp.
