  1. I'm a blue belt in tae kwon do and my instructor told me to put all my force into it first you need to get right in the center of the board or break and practice barely kicking it about three to four times then when you get ready yell realy loud while you kick the board or break.

  2. i take MMA and i would to say put all your weight into the kick wile still maintaining balance, make sure you turn the foot your not kicking with out, aim every kick and be tricky, make your opponent think you are going to do something else.

  3. Remember this always= faster kicks equal harder kicks. So when you get the speed of your up, you will be able to break things more easily.

Although that doesn't mean you shouldn't condition your legs, if that's something you would like to go for. Conditioning can be done against any number of objects (trees, etc.). For more on conditioning, simply search the internet for instructions on doing it without overexerting or hurting yourself too much in the process.

And on the subject of speed itself= the more kicks you practice, the faster you can whip them out. First make sure you have the proper form, and then when you are sure that your form is up to par, then practice your kicks again and again, and make sure you do them right each time. When you notice that your kicks are getting too sloppy because you're quite tired, take a break, because you don't want your body to  get used to doing kicks that are sloppy.

Try this: Stand in one place, kick in one direction. Turn your body a quarter of a circle, kick, then another quarter of a circle, then kick, another quarter, then another kick. Then go in reverse direction. Do a certain amount, and increase this as your sessions go along. Make sure you do the exercise for all kinds of kicks (roundhouse, sidekick, forward, low, high, etc.)

Good luck, and remember: Practice increases speed, and speed increases power.

  4. Kicks.

We don't use our legs like our arms. Our arms are significantly smaller and hang off to the side. So we are used to holding our arms out and have great dexterity, but don't realize the strength it requires to do so. Start building dexterity in your legs. It may sound weird but try to substitute things that you usually do with you hands with your legs. DO this on top of your stretching and strength building exercises.

    Hand breaking.

Proper hand structure is required to make a good break. Put all the weight you want into your fist, but if you have a weak fist all your doing is smashing your hand against a piece of wood. You can build proper fist structure by practicing strikes against a bag.

    Force.

This is where is all ties to together, and that's exactly how you want to think about it. When striking your hips should move. That is your center or your majority of weight. After training and building the connective tissues in your hips and knees through dexterity training, by shifting your hips with your kick you'll be able to have more power and speed. Just like your kicks, the shifting of your hips provide more power to your properly constructed fist (hammer fist, chop, whatever).
