Question:

Kid Friendly Birthday Snack Ideas?

They are celebrating my son's summer birthday this coming Monday at preschool. However, I need to bring in healthy snacks to share with the class that are low on sugar and peanut/peanut oil free. Does anyone have any cute and original ideas they would be willing to share?

  1. popcorn

  2. Well I always liked Dirt in a cup chocolate  pudding with crushed oreo's and gummy worms

  3. Fruit Kabobs

    Fruit Pizza

Basically take something you want to feed them (Veggies, Fruit etc) and present it in a fun way :)

  4. Fruit & cheese cubes are always great for kids, if you didn't want to use fresh fruit you could buy fruit cups.  Kids seem to like to dip things... maybe carrots or celery with ranch dip.

I do like the dirt cup idea.. maybe you could use the sugar free pudding & cookies to make those.. they even have sugar free/fat free cool whip.  Best of luck!

  5. My daughters' school also had a healthy rule for snacks:) ...  Black olives are usually popular, since kids like to put them on their fingers:) ...  You can make "Jello Jigglers" using unflavored Knox gelatin and juice (apple juice is good).  Recipe will be on the box ...  Teddy grahams;  fruit snacks; fruit rolls.... "Ants on a Log" - putting softened cream into 1-2" pieces of celery, with raisins or Craisins on top ...little cheese cubes with a thin pretzel stick in the top ...  mini sandwiches cut with a cookie cutter...   Mini banana muffins  ...**   I'd be careful about using sugar-free products, as suggested in the other answers.  There are ALOT of chemicals in there, and the other moms might object (my daughter, now, doesn't allow my grandkids to eat artificially sweetened things - aspartame is especially harmful for kids)

  6. Flapjack.
