Kidnapped???

In Chapter 12, In the book Kidnapped. Who is the "Red Fox"? Who is Ardshiel? Why does Alan despise them? What is a Whig and why does Alan consider David to be one?

It has been about 25 years since I read that book, so I can't really help you except to tell you to pick up the book and read it instead of trying to get someone to do your school work for you.

I've never read that, but I do know that the Whigs used to be a political party in England.
