If you have kidney stones, will/could drinking alcohol make you very sick?

I got quite drunk about 3 weeks ago and the next day could not keep an ice cube down, i ended up in the emergency room for 24 hours on an IV. They diagnosed me with pancreatitis, but now my doctor says she doesn't think it is and is looking into me having kidney stones. I am going in for tests in a couple days, but im just wondering if the alcohol could have triggered me to get so sick. I also have pains in my stomach , especially one sharp pain in the lower right side of my stomach, even when it doesnt hurt, i can alwyas just feel it there ...

  1. I will pray for you what are your intials so I can tell GOD or like he told Moses( I am that I am). Pray for forgiveness of your sins and fast and pray. Give me your intials. Good Luck

  2. It will make you pee out extra potassium, which will make the kidney stones worse. Potassium deficiency can cause kidney stones quite often.

Just make sure you are eating enough fruits and vegetables (a banana or two is good enough, or 6 big spoons of peanut butter).

Youll notice a great deal more energy the more potassium you eat.

Its an incredibly common problem, extremely common, so its better to be safe then sorry.

  3. My imagination is that alcohol could have caused diuresis,, I mean increased urine production and that might have dislodged a previous stone and resulted in pain

  4. Gall stones can cause pancreatitis, and what you describe sounds like a gall bladder attack.  Alcohol would make kidney stones worse, and could also probably bring on a gall bladder attack.  Here are links about both conditions.
