Question:

Kidney pain/symptoms?

I have been monitoring my symptoms for a while now and have come to the conclusion that my right kidney is not working as it should be.

I'm 15 and I've been experiencing several things that are unrelated in their systems, then yesterday I started to get a sharp pain in my side. I thought maybe my liver, but that made no sense because there have been no traces of bile anywhere and I'm not even slightly jaundiced.

So I figured it had to be my kidney since I stopped wanting to throw up after Tums's sodium bicarbonate, which is produced by your kidney. Other things include: Head rushes (I black out for like 5-10 seconds after getting up from laying down); Possibly mild anemia, definitely muscle weakness, general feeling of laziness; back pain, soreness and spine has to be cracked often; used to have short, cluster migraines, those stopped; remarkably i really don't feel the urge to use restroom; and in the past, muscle spasms.

what do you think? how long will it be till it's fatal?

  1. Child, you're well on your way to becoming a hypochondriac. Your liver is in front of your heart in the middle of your chest  kidney pain is felt in the back.

You have a side stitch, nothing but an annoyance. Quit worrying about stuff like that . At 15 your like a 3 month old car-nothing will happen to your health.

  2. Stop driving yourself crazy and take your symptoms to the DR.  Quit trying to self diagnose.  Let's just say Your kidneys are fine, having had kidney problems...You would know it!!! there would be no question!!!

You may possibly have twisted a little bit feeling that you have kidney pain.

Maybe you are a little anemic or hypoglycemic. Since you are a teen, maybe mono...I doubt it.

You are just going to drive yourself crazy...

Try and talk with a friend!  You have a long life to live..
