Kids Games. Ideas??

Question

Tuesday I'm going to my Aunt's Preschool/Daycare to read to the kids and play a game with them. I need an idea. Anything will help. by the way, i'm 14 years old and these kids are really young.

Do a matching game.

   ex. a stack of blue cards

         a stack of red cards

   The red cards could be math problems

such a 2+2, etc.

    The blue cards could be the answer.

    Place the cards down and do a matching game.

Try a simple freeze dance game.  When the music is playing, let the children dance however they want.  When you pause the music, they have to freeze.  Then they can start dancing again once the music starts.

I'm sure your aunt has bean bags, and there are a ton of ways to use them.  Play Simon Says, and have the children put the bean bag on different body parts, such as their head, elbow and feet.  Or pass one bean bag around in a circle while you play music.  You can pick what happens to the child holding the bean bag, whether they are out, or they get to help you with the music, or they have to tell you a special fact about themselves.  

Another bean bag favorite it to hold all the bean bags in a large tub and carry it around.  You walk around like a dump truck and dump the bean bags.  The children run around to pick them up and place them back in the tub.  You walk around continually in circles and zigzags depending on how much space you have.  About every 20 seconds or so, you dump them again.  I don't know why but the kids think this is hysterical!

Tag is a fun way to keep them busy.But since they are young, just running around will do.Also drawing keeps them occupied at times.

Last but not least, get them to watch PBS kids shows like "Super Why?".Hope this helped
