Question:

Kids Story...Water Safety?

In my Child Development class, my teacher has asked us to write a kids story on water safety. I'm not nearly creative enough for something like this, and any suggestions for the story, no matter how small, would be helpful. Thanks!

  1. my first story was written about water safety.This is a brief of what i wrote and i edited it a bit;

Kane was about to run in the soothing ,salty water of the beach when her best friend Becky ran toards her and screamed "i'm coming!!!!" Summer holidays had started and Kane and becky were camping at a camping park near the beach but away from home."remember to swim between the flags!!"Kane's father shouted to them.He was playing beach cricket with Kane's 2 brothers, becky's really sporty sister and her brother joshua and becky's father.

REMEMBER TO ADD LOTS AND LOTS OF ADJECTIVES.ALSO,HERE IS A GOOD IDEA:PUT SOME OF THE SAFETY RULES IN SPEECH

  2. Things to include:

NEVER go in the water without asking an adult FIRST!!

    Never swim alone.

Don't jump in after anyone or anything without permission. A dog or puppy won't have any problem swimming, and they don't need your help!

Learn to blow bubbles and put your face in the water; it's FUN!

Take swimming lessons to you can learn to be safe in the water and be a stronger swimmer.

Know your limits ("what are limits?", the kid will ask. Answer, "That you can't swim without an adult present" It's the same for a pool as it is for the beach.

  3. i like writing story so here is some details and tips you can use:

    *pool

    *friends (make up names)

    *life guard

*start with a name to know who is the main character

*and lastly write about 5 or 4 water safety

    hopes it helps you.....good luck!!!         = )

  4. Megan is taking her first set of swimming lessons at age 4, but many of her swimming friends started as early as 6 months old.

"I had no idea," said Karen Wilker, Megan's mother. "I just thought you wanted them to be able to understand. I didn't think until 3, 4 years old to enroll them, but next time I'd go much sooner."

sorry have gone brain dead now......................

  5. i would start the story with a little girl or a boy going to their first swimming class and how the coah talk to him/her about water safety and what can happen if we don't ue our water safety rules around the pool
