Kids TV series "The Tribe" - shown on Channel Five in the school holidays?

This series was shown about 3 years ago on Channel five, during the kids' summer school holidays, I think. I missed the end, unless it just ended very suddenly, or was not all aired.

It was aimed a pre teens, really, but this sad housewife loved it.

I think it was set in New Zealand, but it could be Australia.

Any info most appreciated, e.g. if it is available on DVD. The baddie in the wheelchair was my favourite (I have forgotten his name now).
