Kids and Parents Monetary Compromising?

I don't get an allownace, (I wish I still did) and My mom barely buys me clothes, becuase i grow out of them so quickly, My birthdays in 2 months and I'm trying to make her compromise with them so I can buy an ipod touch, I have a shuffle right now, and I think I deserve the upgrade.

I already have $53 and I need $300, I usually get $100 from my parents for my brithday.

I was just wondering what are some unique or original ways that you and your parents compromise on to make money for yourself, or anyways I can make a compromise for my new ipod

Do more chores around the house ....=)
